What is the definition of a nanny?
A nanny is an individual who comes to your home to care for your children. They are typically childcare providers A nanny and housekeeper are not interchangeable.
Do nannies also clean houses?
Nannies typically do all things related to caring for a baby. Most nannies do not clean. They may pick up and clean a kitchen after use by cleaning, however, being a housekeeper is typically not their job.
What is the process for getting a nanny?
Our process for hiring a nanny is a bit different than most.
1. Contact with the agency.
2. We email you information and application to fill out.
3. We will come to you to discuss your job and get to know you better.
4. We start the search for you either in our database or a new search.
5. We present nanny candidates via email.
6. We set interviews for you and walk you through the process, on the other side we are walking the nanny candidate through the process.
7. We recommend a three-day trial with the nanny. If all goes well, you hire her and pay the search fee.
How much does it cost?
Hiring a nanny typically costs between $1000-$4500 to hire a nanny through or agency and then you pay her salary.
What happens if the nanny does not work out?
If the nanny placement does not work out within the first 90 days, we will replace her at no charge.
Where do you get your nannies?
We advertise in a variety of places for our nannies. I utilize my nanny network.
Will they be CPR and First Aid certified?
Most nannies are CPR and First Aid certified but it is fairly easy for them to get recertified. Employers are happy to pay for this most of the time.
What do I do about a background check?
Our nanny agency performs a comprehensive background check an all nannies before they even interview with families. We are happy to provide that to families when asked.
